Get To Know ID: Suzanne Wallace, Community Manager

Finally, community manager Suzanne Wallace is participating in her own blog series!

What is your name?

Suzanne Wallace.

What is your quest?

To help wonderful, talented people bring innovative games to a rabid, passionate audience.

What is your favorite color?

What other names do you go by?

Suzanne. AKA, please not Susan, not Susana, not Sue.

What is your alignment?

Definitely Chaotic Good. I’m going to agonize and overanalyze about what the best possible outcome is, but I can be coldly pragmatic about my methods for achieving it.

Do you have a familiar?

Two of them! Ollie is my middle-aged plushy cat—he’s been with me since college and lived in four cities. I adopted a shy little wuss and he’s blossomed into a true socialite who loves it when I entertain, because there are more people to fawn over him.

Darcy is my sweet, anxious cardigan corgi. He has intense love for a shortlist of approved humans—and careful scrutiny for everyone else. He’s the baby of the family and enjoys wrestling with his big (cat) brother.

What kind of video games do you like to play?

Story-based adventures are my jam! I love a good narrative hook, and I often go deep into side quests to make good games last longer. I also really enjoy sandbox games like city builders and sim games—the kind where it’s easy to blink and lose 200+ hours.

What kind of music do you listen to?

Girls with guitars.

What kind of books do you read?

Fantasy MG and YA. I discovered what I like to read when I was eight years old and I’ve never really moved past that point.

Do you have a secret skill that few people know about?

I dabble in singing, even though I find it excruciatingly embarrassing.

What’s your favorite random fact about yourself?

I have dual citizenship! I’m second-generation Irish so I have two passports. It’s nice skipping the long customs line on the very rare event that I travel internationally.

Where can people find you on the Internet?

Find me on Twitter @iamasnarkypants.
