Gamescom may be over, but that doesn’t mean we’re done talking about it. So much happened, it can’t be contained in a single week. Here, then are more stories from Gamescom, courtesy of the Xbox Wire crew:
While everything in Superhot controls like an FPS – you aim with the right stick and move with the left, for example – the actual challenge has little to do with your aiming skills or your reflexes. Instead, it’s about your ability to plan, react, and understand the long-term consequences of your choices. So, for all its killer style, Superhot has more in common with games like Portal than it does with, say, Call of Duty.
We also revealed more than 30 independent games coming to Windows 10 at gamescom this year, including Team17’s Worms WMD, Ron Gilbert’s Thimbleweed Park, Team17’s Sheltered, Compulsion Games’ We Happy Few, and Inti Creates’ Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Other indie games coming soon to Windows 10 include Studio MDHR’s Cuphead, inXile Entertainment’s Wasteland 2, Frogshark’s Swordy, Yacht Club Games’ Shovel Knight, 11 bit studios’ This War of Mine, Digital Extremes’ / nSpace’s Dungeons & Dragons: Sword Coast Legends and many more.
I think it’s also worth noting that all of the titles featured during the ID@Xbox segment of the Gamescom briefing will be coming to Xbox One and Windows 10! For more on these stories, click through the links!
