Hello Fellow Scientists!
Eddie from Funktronic Labs here, with an important question for you: When you are taking a break from doing SCIENCE, do you like to enjoy a nice turn-based game? Or do you enjoy real-time games? Well, why do you even have to choose? Why can’t you have BOTH in one?
Nova-111 is a sci-fi themed turn-based adventure game with an innovative twist of real-time action. Pilot your trusty orange vessel through mysterious and foreign planets in this original sci-fi adventure. Seek out and rescue the scientists lost in the aftermath of the Universe’s Greatest Science Experiment. Aided only by your trusty guide, travel through the entangled dimensions of time to repair the temporal vortex.
Along your journey, you’ll collect new abilities and upgrade modules for your ship. Whether it be blasting astrobiological villains in the face with your Laser Beam or bending time to your will with the Time-Stop Module, there will be plenty of clever ways to navigate through the unforgiving alien world.
The development of Nova-111 first began in Kyoto, Japan, where our team first met while previously working together on the PixelJunk series. Our goal was to capture the best aspects of turn-based strategy and real-time action and merge them into a fresh new flavour of gameplay.
Two years later, here we are with what we believe to be a unique mix of turn-based and real-time game mechanics. We’ve racked our brain trying to bring the two polar worlds together, but we eventually did it. And I hope you will enjoy Nova-111 as much as we’ve enjoyed making it for y’all!
After several years in development, Nova-111 will be available to buy and play on Xbox One from August 28th!
So are you ready to SCIENCE?
